A tender for the contract to build the new Qatar National Museum is expected to be floated by Qatar Petroleum (QP) by the end of November, Meed has reported. The contract involves building the museum's steel superstructure and installing the cladding and glazing on the building's exterior. The successful bidder will also complete the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, along with some fit-out work inside the building and landscaping work outside. Construction work on the project is expected to be completed by October 2012.
