The Qatari government is working on a new law aimed at regulating private schools, including those run by expatriate communities, the Peninsula has reported. The proposed amendments will make it mandatory for schools to get the contracts of teachers endorsed by the Supreme Education Council (SEC). It will also require the Civil Defence to approve safety measures put in place by private schools.
