Riyadh Metro

$9.5bn Lines 1 and 2 awarded to a consortium including Bechtel (US), Siemens (Germany), Almabani (local) and CCC (Athens-based)

$7.8bn Lines 4, 5 and 6 awarded to a consortium including FCC Construccion (Spain), Freyssinet (local), Alstom Transport (France), Samsung C&T (South Korea), Strukton Civiel Projecten (Netherlands) and SETEC (France)

$5.2bn Line 3 awarded to a consortium including Ansaldo STS (Italy), Impregilo (Italy), Larsen & Toubro (India), Nesma & Partners (local) and Bombardier (Canada)

$1.5bn France’s Alstom wins main contract for phase 1 of elevated railway

Oued Tlelat electrification

$52m Italian consortium of Ansaldo STS, Condotte d’Acqua and Rizzani de Eccher wins contract to provide signalling between Oued Tlelat and Tlemcen in Algeria

High-speed rail project 

$177.3m In Morocco, a French-led consortium of Colas Rail, Colas Rail Maroc and Egis Rail wins design-and-build contract for the high-speed train line between Tangier and Kenitra

Doha Metro

$1bn Contract to build two major stations at Msheireb and Education City awarded to a consortium of South Korea’s Samsung C&T, Spain’s OHL and Qatar Building Company

$2.2bn Construction contract for Red Line South awarded to a group of the local/French Qatari Diar Vinci Construction, South Korea’s GS Engineering & Construction and the local Darwish Engineering

$2.2bn Contract for underground sections of the Green Line won by Austria’s Porr, Saudi Binladin Group and the local HBK Contracting Company

$2.2bn Construction contract on Red Line North underground sections won by Italy’s Impregilo, South Korea’s SK Engineering & Construction and the local Galfar al-Misned Engineering & Contracting
