Biography: Rajnish Sinha joined Horizon Technologies, based in the emirate of Fujairah, in 2007.
He is an engineering graduate from Xavier Labour Relations Institute in India. He also has a master’s of business administration in marketing. Sinha has 20 years of process engineering experience, having worked in sectors such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics and recycling.
His previous employers include India’s Zoom Aluminium, where he was assistant vice-president for projects, the Philippines’ Global Steel, where he was head of corporate resources, and India’s Sterlite Usha Martin, where he worked in operations and maintenance. Horizon Technologies recycles used PET bottles into a range of food and non-food grade plastic products, including PET sheeting and PET food containers.
Horizon Technologies’ PET recycling plant has the capacity to recycle up to 2,000 tonnes a month of used plastic bottles.
