Omani group to manage project camps at BPs major gas field development
- Renaissance Services to provide consolidated camp facilities management at Khazzan gas development

The local Renaissance Services has been awarded a contract to provide consolidated camp facilities management at the Khazzan gas development in Oman.
The contract was awarded by UK oil major BP, which is the operator of the $16bn onshore gas field development.
Under the agreement, Renaissance Services will provide catering, maintenance and related facilities management services to BP Khazzan project camps in Oman.
The services will start in August and last for an initial 29 months, with additional option periods of up to two years.
Renaissance Services is a wholly-owned subsidiary of local conglomerate Tawoos Industrial Services Company.
The Khazzan tight gas scheme, located at Block 61 in north-central Oman, will have the capacity to produce 1.2 billion cubic feet a day (cf/d) increasing the sultanates gas capacity by about a third.
BP recently awarded contracts to build two export pipelines at the site.
