The Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu has awarded a SR60m ($16m) construction contract to the Saudi Withcon Company.
The contract covers the upgrade and corrosion protection of a number of pipeline corridors in the Jubail 2 area.
Saudi Withcon is part of the local Azmeel Group.
The contract was awarded in early November and has a duration of three years.
Two further contracts for Jubail were awarded by the commission at the end of October.
The local Rashid Geotechnical & Materials Engineers was awarded a SR5m contract for material testing services for Jubail 2. It is expected to last three years.
The local Abdul Rahman al-Naim Consulting was awarded a contract of at least SR8m for general engineering and design services in Jubail for five years.
Jubail 2 is the extension to Jubail Industrial City, in the Eastern Province, and covers approximately 10 square kilometres.
