Sabic would consider buying Bayer's polyurethane operations

Bayer’s material science business is the world’s largest maker of chemicals for insulation foam and plastics

Mohamed al-Mady, chief executive officer of Saudi Basic Industries Corp (Sabic) has said the company would consider buying Bayer’s polyurethane business, Reuters has reported, citing German weekly Die Zeit. Bayer’s material science business is the world’s largest maker of chemicals for insulation foam and plastics used for data disks and car lights. Sabic would only be interested in the polyurethane business of material science because of anti-trust concerns, Al-Mady was quoted as saying by the daily.
