Italian contractor picks up onshore work for Sonatrach
Algeria’s Sonatrach has awarded Italy’s Saipem drilling contracts to be carried out at its onshore fields.
The awards made along with similar sized deals in South America and Ukraine and will call for the charter of 14 rigs.
The award follows the one made by Saudi Aramco for the charter of the jack-up Perro Negro 7, for drilling activities in the waters of Saudi Arabia.
