Biography: Saleh Malaikah is the vice-chairman and CEO of Salama, which was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Dubai. The firm offers motor insurance, family takaful products such as investment plans, and health insurance. It also offers general takaful services such as fire and property insurance.
Malaikah is the chairman of three of the group’s subsidiaries: Bahrain-based Takaful and Retakaful International Investment Company; Egyptian Saudi Insurance House; and the Saudi IAIC Cooperative Insurance Corporation. He was previously the CEO of Albaraka Investment and Development Company, the financial services arm of Saudi Arabia-based Dallah Albaraka Group.
Malaikah graduated with a master’s degree in business administration from King Fahd University for Petroleum & Minerals in 1984, having already earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
