Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company (NWC) has invited local and international companies to express interest in participating in a market sounding exercise about private sector involvement in the kingdom’s water distribution sector.
NWC has invited local and international firms to express interest in participating in the exercise by 30 August.
NWC is the latest client in the kingdom’s water sector to seek private investment as part of its expansion and operation and maintenance activities. Over the past year, Saudi Arabia’s Water & Electricity Company (WEC) has invited developers to participate in a number of tenders for major desalination and wastewater treatment plants, all of which will be developed by private investors.
