Work will involve building pump station and four storage tanks

Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu has invited contractors to submit bids for the contract to build a pump station and storage tanks for potable water at Ras al-Khair Industrial City.

Contractors have until 18 August to submit bids for the tender. The work will involve the construction of a potable water pump station and four storage tanks that will cover a total area of 160,460 square metres.

The contract will also involve the construction of internal roads, access roads and car parking, as well as storm drainage, wastewater and collection systems.

The project is the latest in a series of major infrastructure contracts tendered by the commission at Ras al-Khair Industrial City. The commission recently invited companies to submit bids for a contract to provide site preparation and the installation of infrastructure over an area of 10,400 square metres.

The work will include earthwork, as well as building a road network, storm drainage infrastructure, a potable water distribution network and wastewater facilities.

The commission has been allocated a 94-square-kilometre area in Ras al-Khair, which is being developed mainly to accommodate industries being set up by the Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden).
