Saudi health ministry to set up a blood plasma derivatives factory

Around $213.3m (SR800m) has been allocated by Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry to set up a blood plasma derivatives factory in the kingdom, Saudi Gazette has reported. The factory is to have the capacity to produce 14 types of medication, including those for cancer, skin diseases, burns, bleeding, clotting deficiencies, and other important antibiotics, before the year 2013.
