Storage facilities for oil products to be built at Duba in Tabuk province
Saudi Aramco has invited companies to bid on a the construction of an estimated $400m tank farm project in the northwest of Saudi Arabia, according to a source familiar with the scheme.
Companies have been asked to submit bids for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) on 8 May for a contract to build storage tanks for oil products in Duba, Tabuk province, on the Red Sea coast.
Contractors prequalified to bid are understood to include:
- Arkad (Saudi Arabia)
- China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB; China)
- Dodsal (UAE)
- Enppi (Egypt)
- Gulf Consolidated Contractors (Saudi Arabia)
- JGC (Japan)
- Joannou & Paraskevaides (J&P; Cyprus)
- Larsen & Toubro (India)
- Dutco McConnell Dowell (UAE)
- Nesma & Partners (Saudi Arabia)
- Punj Lloyd (India)
- Saipem (Italy)
- Tekfen (Turkey)
The scope of the project includes storage tanks, loading and unloading facilities, pumps, modification works and associated facilities.
Aramco is expected to retender a project to build a storage facility in Hail in the north-central region of the kingdom, along with a pipeline linking it to Qassim.
