Saudi-based Nesma awarded SR167m economic city contract

The local Nesma Holding Company has been awarded a SR167m ($45m) infrastructure contract at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC).

The scope of the contract covers infrastructure works within an area called zone B at KAEC’s Resort Cove project.

Mobilisation has already begun on site and the work is scheduled for completion in July 2009.

The Resort Cove is a gated community development situated along a 4-kilometre stretch of coastline on the Red Sea. It includes the Esmeralda development, a 2,000 villa and townhouse community located next to a golf course. Together with the residential community Bay Le Sun Village, it is one of the key components within the city.

KAEC is a 168 square-kilometre project located in Rabigh near Jeddah on the Red Sea coast of the kingdom.
