

Saudi Aramco has awarded Saudi Arabia-based AlMeer Saudi Technical Services a major framework contract for the delivery of power systems electrical infrastructure for its projects in the kingdom.
The duration of the contract is five years, with a two-year extension option, Al-Khobar-headquartered AlMeer Saudi Technical Services said in a statement.
The scope of services covered by the framework contract are as follows:
- Electrical systems involving power transformers, switchgears, power and fibre optic cables and power system automation;
- End-to-end delivery spanning design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning;
- Catering to all areas under Aramco’s power operations department, including Dhahran, Riyadh, Jeddah, Yanbu, Abqaiq, Khursaniyah and several other locations in the kingdom.
“This milestone agreement encompasses comprehensive electrical infrastructure works, along with associated civil activities – ensuring the turnkey delivery of critical power facilities,” the contractor said.
