Electrical Industries Corporation is to provide electrical equipment and structures for Aramco gas project

Spanish engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Tecnicas Reunidas has awarded a supply contract to Saudi power and automation services supplier Electronic and Electrical Industries Corporation (EEIC) for Saudi Aramco’s Fadhili gas plant.

EEIC is to provide low-voltage switchgear, low-voltage motor control centers as well as customised pre-fabricated substations (e-houses) for the Fadhili gas plant, according to a report by the local Arab News daily.

Dammam-based EEIC, a subsidiary of Saudi private industrial conglomerate Abunayyan Holding, has delivered similar contracts in the past, including supplying e-houses to Aramco’s Uthmaniyah project. EEIC has also worked with Tecnicas Reunidas on projects entailing provision of the electrical scope, previously.

Aramco’s Fadhili gas plant project is located approximately 30km southwest of the Khursaniyah gas plant, and has a total capacity of 2.5 billion standard cubic feet of gas a day. Tecnicas Reunidas in 2015 was awarded the first and second packages of the Fadhili project, the central gas processing facility and the offsites and utilities.
