Saudi Arabian contractor Mofarreh Group and Turkiye’s Gulsan Holding have formed a joint venture to bid for and deliver transport infrastructure projects in Riyadh for the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC).
The joint venture said it will target road, bridge, viaduct and interchange projects.
Mofarreh will provide local market access and operational capacity, while Gulsan will contribute international experience in large-scale transport projects.
The companies said the new venture will support knowledge transfer and localisation, and promote the use of international engineering and construction standards aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 infrastructure and sustainability goals.
The development comes as the kingdom’s construction industry is expected to grow by 3.6% in real terms in 2026, according to UK-headquartered firm GlobalData.
This growth is expected to be supported by increased foreign direct investment, coupled with investments in the housing and infrastructure sectors.
The infrastructure construction sector is forecast to grow by 4.3% in real terms in 2026 and to record an average annual growth rate of 5.2% from 2027 to 2030, supported by government investment in transport infrastructure projects to improve regional connectivity.
