The works involve enabling and shoring works for zones two and seven of the development.
The local Belhasa Engineering & Contracting was recently awarded the AED1.7bn ($463m) contract to build zones three and six at the Dubai Lagoon project at Dubai Investments Park (MEED 26:8:08).
Thailand's Powerline Gulf will continue to work on the first two zones of the project. The company was awarded the estimated AED1bn main construction package for Dubai Lagoon in late 2006.
The project comprises 51 residential buildings with a built-up area of 163,000 square metres. US-based Artec Architectural & Engineering Consultants prepared the masterplan (MEED 26:8:08).
