Scott Wilson wins Durrat Marina design work

UK-based Scott Wilson has been appointed as the infrastructure design consultant for the Durrat Marina development on the $6bn Durrat al-Bahrain island project.

The contract involves designing the infrastructure for all the facilities and developments within the marina.

Once complete it is expected to have more than 3,000 residences consisting of waterfront villas, townhouses and apartments. It will also have commercial and recreational facilities.

The marina itself will be designed to accommodate more than 300 boats and yachts.

Scott Wilson Group was appointed by Durrat al-Bahrain to develop the masterplan for the Durrat golf precinct in February (MEED 20:2:08).

The overall development is owned by the Durrat Khaleej al-Bahrain Company, in which the government of Bahrain and Kuwait Finance House each hold a 50 per cent stake.
