Biography: Sean Holder has enjoyed a 20-year career in the food industry, which started in South Africa at US-headquartered Kraft Foods’ chocolate brand Cadbury in 1992. As the CEO of SFG, Holder is responsible for the food division of the Saudi conglomerate Al-Dabbagh Group.
SFG has interests primarily in the livestock business, with poultry and red meat production at the forefront of its operations. Holder came to SFG through one of its joint ventures, the Turkish biotechnology company Ross Breeders Anadolu, where he served as a board member.
Prior to this, he worked for UK-based hygiene products company Reckitt Benckiser, as well as Australian food company Masterfoods, which he joined after leaving Cadbury. Holder studied economics, commercial law and psychology at Rhodes University in South Africa.
