The total value of contracts recently awarded by the Dubai-based real estate developer totals AED3bn ($817m)

Select Group has awarded the main contract to Dubai-based iBuild Construction, which is part of Innovo Holding, for its Six Senses Residence project on the Palm Jumeirah.

Spread over 1.2m square foot, the Six Senses Residences is a new luxury waterfront project which comprises penthouses, duplex sky villas, Six Senses hotel and Six Senses Place along with a 60,000 square foot premium wellness and leisure facility.

The scheme is developed on one of the last available plots on the West Crescent of Palm Jumeirah and its construction is on track.

The excavation works are completed and shoring is in progress. The project is scheduled for completion in 2024.

“We are proud to be the main contractor for the Six Senses Residences The Palm, Dubai project and are committed to delivering operational excellence, playing the role in creating a more sustainable community that will have a myriad of positive impacts,” said iBuild Construction managing director Sameh Fam.

Contracts worth AED3bn

Last year Select awarded contracts for the individual towers of its waterfront community in the Peninsula Master Development in Business Bay in Dubai. In January 2022, the Dubai-based developer awarded China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East the main contract for its Peninsula tower One and Two, while the development of the 49-storey Peninsula Three was awarded to Engineering Contracting Company (ECC Group).

Al-Basti & Muktha won the bid for Peninsula Five tower, The Signature Collection and a branded residence Jumeirah Living Business Bay, designed by a local architecture firm Killa Design.

Lebanon’s Khatib & Alami is the consultant for the Peninsula development, and the local Pinnacle International Piling Foundation delivered enabling works for the towers. The Peninsula will have an estimated built-up area of 51 hectares. Its first and second towers are both 36 floors high and comprise a mix of commercial and residential units.

The second tower will be linked to a 6,131-square-metre community mall planned as part of the project. The Peninsula Five scheme within the masterplan will overlook the Dubai Water canal.

The Peninsula Master Development is scheduled for completion in 2026 and the group confirmed that the works are underway.

The total value of awarded contracts by Select amounts to AED3bn ($820m).
