Roof collapsed at construction site in Buraidi university

Seven workers were killed in Saudi Arabia on 27 April when the roof of a building they were constructing at a university collapsed.

Six workers have been injured and two were still missing in the rubble, as of the latest report by news agency AP citing civil defence authorities and a diplomat.

The incident took place on the campus of Al-Qassim University in Buraidah, a city 360 kilometres northwest of Riyadh.

Local news channel Al-Ekhbariya reported a university spokesman saying the majority of workers were from Pakistan. Reports also claim an Egyptian engineer is among the dead.
