
An award of $80m has been made for the construction of AKH new headquarters in Saudi Arabias eastern province
Indias Shapoorji Pallonji has won the SR300m ($80m) contract to build Saudi Arabias Al-Abdulakarim Holding (AKH) new headquarters in Dammam.
The commercial tower will have a total built up area of about 65,000 square metres (sqm). The building will have 40 storeys of office space, as well as seven parking levels.
AKH awarded the contract on 10 January. Construction is due to be completed in 2016.
The design and engineering for the project was done by Dubai-based Dewan Architects & Engineers.
