Germany’s Siemens has signed an agreement with the local Al-Khayarin Switchgear for the production of low-voltage power distribution boards in Qatar.

Al-Khayarin will produce the Siemens’ Sivacon S8 boards as part of a franchise agreement. The boards will be produced at the company’s manufacturing facility in Doha and will service the local market.

Neither company disclosed the financial details of the deal nor said how many jobs the deal would create.
