Canadian firm acquires industrial division of Zuhair Fayez Partnership
Canada’s SNC Lavalin has acquired the industrial division of Saudi engineering consultancy Zuhair Fayez Partnership as part of Saudi Aramco’s general engineering services plus (GES plus) initiative in the kingdom.
The acquisition has been made by SNC’s Saudi partnership SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering for an undisclosed figure.
Aramco initiated its GES plus contract in order to keep as much detailed engineering work as possible in the kingdom in order to let Saudis gain vital experience in its oil, gas and petrochemical sectors.
Other signatories of the GES plus include the US’ Foster Wheeler, Jacob’s Engineering, KBR and Mustang Engineering.
