The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) has selected the local Salem al-Marzouk & Sabah Abi-Hanna (SSH) for a contract to design six new police headquarters in each of the state's six governorates Capital, Hawali, Al-Farwaniya, Jahra, Ahmadi and Mubarak al-Kabir. Under the terms of the seven-month design contract, SSH will design the buildings under a common theme. Once the work is completed, MPW will issue the main construction tenders for the individual headquarters, which will each be worth an estimated KD 6 million-8 million ($21 million-28 million).
