Plant will not begin commissioning until June while further testing and repairs are carried out
Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Company (SAFCO) has delayed the commissioning of a new urea plant at its complex in Jubail until June.
The company said that the start-up has been postponed due to the trial operations stage being extended while repairs and further testing is carried out.
Safco 5 is an extension of current operations at the complex in the Eastern Province and will have a capacity of 1.1 million tonnes a year when completed. The project is already over six months late due to the construction phase running over schedule.
