The State Company for Iraqi Ports has announced the signing of a deal with an international firm to set up and operate a containers terminal at Basra’s Umm Qasr port, Aswat al-Iraq has reported. The 340,000-metre terminal, which will be able to deal with one million containers, will be implemented in three stages over a 15-month period.
