Suicide bombing at Israeli checkpoint

At least two Israelis were injured at a checkpoint in the West Bank on 9 October when a suicide bomber blew herself up near the town of Tulkarm. One person sustained moderate to serious wounds, the second person was slightly hurt, according to local press reports.

The bombing comes days after another female suicide bomber killed 19 people at the Maxim Café in Haifa on 5 October (MEED 6:10:03). Israel had warned of the possibility of more suicide bombings, and on 8 October put an additional 1,600 reservists on rapid call up.
