Biography: Taj Elkhayat is the managing director for Middle East, Turkey, North, West and Central Africa at Riverbed Technology. Within a year of joining the Riverbed team, Taj is now managing Riverbed’s strategy and business objectives in new territories, namely Turkey, West and Central Africa, in addition to the initial Middle East and North Africa.

He is responsible for expanding and raising the Riverbed business and presence in his expanded region, and driving the company’s go-to-market strategy across the four solutions within the Riverbed application performance platform.

Taj brings more than 14 years of regional sales, channel and executive management experience to Riverbed, growing and scaling both emerging and Fortune 500 technology companies in the region.

Taj previously worked at Juniper Networks where he served as area director, partners and alliances, for Middle East and Africa, responsible for driving the partner strategy for Juniper.

Prior to this, Taj held two other positions at Juniper; area director general business and also interim enterprise area operations leader for Saudi Arabia and Africa.

Taj has also held numerous strategic roles at Microsoft, Compaq Computer Corporations and IBM in the Middle East and the United States.

Taj graduated from the Jones Graduate School of Business from Rice University, while an undergraduate at the University of Houston.
