Egyptian firm invites contractors to prequalify for construction contracts

Egypt’s Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) has invited contractors to prequalify for contracts to build three new Four Seasons hotels in the country.

TMG will build the hotels on sites in Luxor, Sharm el-Sheikh and TMG’s Madinaty development near Cairo.

In July 2008, TMG secured a 50-year concession to develop a Four Seasons hotel on a 20,000 square metre site in the Al-Sultan Malak area of Luxor through its subsidiary Arab Company for Hotels & Tourism Investment.

TMG bought a 188,000 sq m plot in Sharm el-Sheikh, adjacent to its existing Four Seasons property.

The Four Seasons hotel at Madinaty is one of several resorts that developers plan to build along the Cairo to Suez road.

US-based Hill International is the project manager for all three TMG projects (MEED 23:7:08)

TMG has already opened the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Garden City, the Four Seasons Resort Sharm el-Sheikh, and the Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stephano.
