Target awarded three jobs in Abu Dhabi

Target Engineering Construction Company has received three letters of award to construct three projects in Abu Dhabi.

The first is for a AED600m ($163m) contract covering the construction of a commercial centre in the Khalidiya area.

It comprises one office tower and one residential block. Each has 34 floors and three basement levels. The contract duration is 26 months.

The second letter of award was received from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) for a AED96m ($26.1m) contract to build a quality control laboratory building at Ruwais. The contract duration is 20 months.

The third letter of award, also from Adnoc, calls for the construction of a police complex on Das Island. The award totals AED96m ($26.1m) and the project is scheduled for completion in 18 months.

Arabtec Holding acquired 60 per cent of Target in November last year.
