Local contractor will begin work in March
The local Target Engineering Construction Company, a subsidiary of Arabtec Holding, has been awarded a AED206m ($56m) contract for civil and building works on the Gasco Shah Gas Development project in Abu Dhabi.
The contract was awarded to the local contractor by Italian company Saipem. The project is expected to take 33 months to complete and work is scheduled to start on 1 March.
The work will involve the construction of 12 substation buildings and equipment buildings, which will cover a total area of 20,000 square metres. The scope of work also includes all of the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works for the buildings.
