French engineering group to oversee three construction packages on Nasr field
Abu Dhabi has awarded Frances Technip a project management consultancy (PMC) contract on phase two of the Nasr full-field development project.
Technip will oversee the execution of three engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) packages for project owner Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO).
Under the current plans, the offshore Nasr field will have a capacity of 65,000 barrels a day (b/d).
Technip will carry out the PMC work in the UAE, Singapore and South Korea. The French group was also the PMC contractor for the schemes front-end engineering and design (feed) phase.
The first EPC package was awarded to Abu Dhabis National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and the second package was let to a consortium led by South Koreas Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), MEED revealed in July.
The award for package three has yet to be announced.
