
Spanish contractor submits price of $1.45bn for Mina al-Ahmadi contract
Spains Tecnicas Reunidas has submitted a low bid of KD433.7m ($1.45bn) for engineering procurement and consruction (EPC) contract to build the fifth gas fractionation train at Kuwaits Mina al-Ahmadi Refinery.
The bid came in lower than rival prices submitted by the UK-based Petrofac, and the South Korean contractors Daelim Industrial and GS Engineering and Construction (GS E&C).
Tecnicas Reunidas price came in higher than the Kuwait Central Tender Committee (CTC) budget estimate, which was KD363.9m.
