Companies have until 23 April to submit expressions of interest

The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq has launched a tender for contractors to construct two wastewater treatment plants in Erbil, northern Iraq.

Expressions of interest (EOI) were requested on 31 March with a closing date of 23 April.

The successful bidder will prepare the chosen site and related civil works including wastewater treatment plant enclosures, pump rooms, underground tanks, solid waste bins and grease taps along with the two wastewater treatment plants.

The contractor will also relocate, reinstall and reconnect the existing water filtration plant.

Only those companies with at least five years’ sewage treatment plant construction experience will be considered.

Iraq’s Industry & Minerals Ministry recently launched a tender for another wastewater treatment facility. The deadline for responses to this tender was 24 March.
