Suicide belts and weapons recovered
Saudi Arabia says it has prevented a terror attack on two Ministry of Defence buildings in Riyadh.
The state-run Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on 12 September that a suicide operation planned by Islamic State in Iraq and Syria involving explosive belts had been foiled.
Two would-be suicide bombers of Yemeni nationality were arrested before they reached the target location and two explosive belts, weighing 7kg, were recovered along with nine homemade grenades, firearms and other weapons, the SPA said. Two Saudi nationals were also detained.
A property in the Al-Rimal area of Riyadh has been seized. Investigations are ongoing.
