
Three US groups have submitted commercial bids for a contract to build water and wastewater facilities in the Middle Egypt areas of El-Minya, Beni Suef and El-Fayoum. The project is financed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). Total costs are estimated at $150 million-200 million (MEED 26:10:01).
The bidders are understood to be Morganti, Contrack International, and ABB SUSA. The consultant on the project is Harza Engineeringof the US. The technical evaluation is expected to be complete by the end of March. The bidders will then be given four weeks to prepare commercial offers.
