The Abu Dhabi municipality has announced the upper intersection of a tunnel on Al Salam Street in the capital, near Khalifa Park, was opened on Wednesday, Gulf News has reported. The intersection includes exits with traffic signals for both outbound and inbound traffic. The outbound exits facilitate traffic movement for the motorists who want to take the inbound Abu Dhabi direction, and the inbound exits facilitate traffic movement for the motorists who want to go outbound Abu Dhabi. This area is part of contract 2 of the Al Salam Street project, which covers land stretching from Shaikh Zayed Bridge up to Al Salam Street-Street No. 31 intersection. By opening this landmark, the overall completion rate of contract 2 will be 98%, the municipality said in a statement.
