TURKEY: Airport construction applications sought

Prequalification applications were sought by a closing date of 13 November for airport construction work valued at TL 16 million million ($88 million) by the general directorate of state airports (DHMI) in the Transport & Communications Ministry.

The six projects to be tendered are:

Sanliurfa International Airport, for the area of the southeast Anatolia (GAP) development project. The estimated cost is TL 6 million million ($33 million) and the closing date is 3 December

a parallel runway and apron roads at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul. The estimated cost is TL 4.5 million million ($24.8 million); tender deadline is 3 December

a terminal building at Erzurum Airport, together with an apron connection, taxying route, other extension facilities and a car park. The estimated cost is TL 3.6 million million ($19.8 million); tender deadline is 2 December

the centralisation of the air-conditioning system at Adnan Menderes International Airport in Izmir. The estimated cost is TL 735,000 million ($4 million); tender deadline is 1 December

a terminal building at Diyarbakir Airport, plus extension of its apron and parking lot. The estimated cost is TL 900,000 million

($4.9 million); tender deadline is 1 December

extension of the VIP-CIP hall at Adana Airport. The estimated cost is TL 340,000 million ($1.8 million); tender deadline is 1 December.

DHMI has also opened architectural competitions for the design of new terminal buildings at Adnan Menderes, Bodrum and Ankara's Esenboga airports.
