UAE bank deposits increase

Deposits rose by $982m to $27.6bn

According to data by the UAE central bank, bank deposits in the country rose by AED36.1bn ($982m) to AED101.33bn during the 12-month period in September 2010 from AED977.2bn in September 2009, Emirates 24-7 has reported. Loans and advances increased by 1.7 per cent in one year, from AED1.02 trillion in September 2009 to AED1.04 trillion in September 2010, the data showed.
