UAE hotels see sharp drop in revPAR

Hotels in the UAE suffered a 28.3% drop in revenue per available room (revPAR) in November, according to a new report by STR Global. Occupancy rates in the country also took a slide in November, falling nearly nine percent compared to the same month in 2008, to 75.5%. Hotels in the UAE were also hit by a year-on-year drop in average daily rate (ADR) of more than 21%, the study revealed.
