The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority has initialled an 'open' Air Services Agreement and has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkmenistan. Under the agreement, the designated national airlines of the UAE; Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways, RAK Airways, Air Arabia and FlyDubai - and Turkmenistan's national carrier are allowed to operate any capacities, numbers of frequencies and types of aircraft, whether owned or leased, in any type of service (passenger or cargo) on the routes between Turkmenistan and the UAE.
