Dictorate of Military Works awards two contracts at Officers’ City
The UAE’s Directorate of Military Works has awarded two contracts totalling AED530m ($144m) for the construction of a housing complex in Abu Dhabi.
The complex, which is divided into three zones, will be built at Officers’ City, which is on the Abu Dhabi mainland close to the Maqta channel and Abu Dhabi island.
The local Nael General Contracting Company won the larger of the two deals. Its AED350m contract is for zones A and B. The two zones are made up of 164 villas together with infrastructure and a mosque and social centre. The local Dhabi Contracting Company won the other contract for the construction of zone C. Valued at AED180m, the deal involves building 95 villas and associated infrastructure.
The other bidders for the contracts were, all local, Al-Faraa General Contracting Company, Amana Contracting, Emirates Belbadi Contracting Company, Al-Geeco, and ETA Ascon.
