The UAE ministry of economy is set to launch a campaign that aims to curb the sale of energy drinks in the country, following reports that such caffeine-rich beverages have caused many deaths worldwide, Emirates Business has reported. Starting mid-September, consumers younger than 16 years of age will be able to buy Red Bull, Red Power, Lucozade and other energy drinks. The ministry said the decision is in line with a cabinet decision this year that would take effect on October 29, urging dealers to fully comply with the rules.
