Richard Bowker, CEO of Abu Dhabi-based Union Railway has said the 1,500-kilometre railway being planned across the UAE, is to connect ports in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and boost the country’s logistics industry, Zawya Dow Jones has reported. “Both Abu Dhabi Ports Co and Dubai Ports have confirmed they will be rail connected. Linking Jebel Ali to Khalifa Port is very important, not only for the project but also for the UAE logistics as a whole,” Bowker told a MEED industry conference.
