United Airlines launches second Gulf destination

US-based United Airlines launched its first daily Washington-Dubai route on Sunday 26 October 2008. Dubai will become the US carrier's second destination in the Arab region after Kuwait. Jeffery Foland, senior vice president of United Airline's global sales, said Dubai had grown in importance as a commercial and tourist destination for Americans. The 15 hour flight will arrive at 06.44am on Monday, local time.
