UP goes public on UpTown Mirdiff

The local Union Properties (UP) has unveiled plans for a new mixed-use development project in Dubai. Called UpTown Mirdiff, the estimated AED 350 million ($95 million) project will include the construction of 140 villas and 360 residential apartments, shopping malls, food outlets, a cinema complex and related entertainment facilities. The project will also entail the construction of car-parking facilities for 2,000 vehicles, landscaping and related works. The total built-up area will be at least 41,000 square metres.

The project will be tendered in four packages covering the construction of infrastructure, the proposed villas, the residential apartments, and commercial and entertainment facilities. The construction period will be about two years.

The consultant for the proposed scheme is Lebanon's Khatib & Alami; the project manager is the local Edara.
