US firm wins Saudi petrochemical plant deal

US firm’s Saudi subsidiary will provide engineering services for the Satorp complex in Jubail

US engineering firm Jacobs has received a two-year contract renewal from the Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (Satorp) to provide general engineering services at the Aramco-Total joint venture's (JV) facilities in Jubail Industrial City 2 on Saudi Arabia's Gulf coast.

Satorp awarded the contract to Jacob’s subsidiary in the kingdom, Jacobs Zamel and Turbag Consulting Engineers (Jacobs ZATE).

The value of the deal awarded to the Jacobs subsidiary was not disclosed.

Jacobs has previously provided a services including basic engineering to front-end engineering design (feed), detailed design, procurement through to construction management, commissioning support and handover of small to medium-sized capital investments to sustain the operations of the Satorp Jubail II refinery.
