A joint venture of US-based Hill International and Ehaf Consulting Engineers has won the contract to provide project management services during the design and construction of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

The estimated $550m project will be built next to the Pyramids of Giza and will cover 3,500 years of ancient Egyptian history and house more than 100,000 artifacts. The museum, designed by a consultancy team that includes Ireland’s Heneghan Peng Architects, and Arup, and Buro Happold, both UK-based.

The client is the Supreme Council of Antiquities at the Culture Ministry (MEED 16:11:06).
